The Yarra Valley is about an hour from the city and makes for an easy day out. With a chauffeur doing the driving, the whole group gets to relax and taste freely. Here is how a calm, well paced day usually comes together.
A simple day plan
A good day in the valley does not need to be packed. Two or three cellar doors with a proper lunch in the middle is plenty. We collect you from home or your hotel in the morning, drive out through the hills, and you set the pace from there.
We hold a loose plan and keep it flexible. If you fall in love with one place and want to linger, we simply shift the rest of the day to suit.
Cellar doors worth a stop
The valley has a wide mix, from large estates with sweeping views to small family run rooms. Many are known for sparkling, pinot noir and chardonnay. We are happy to suggest a route based on what you like to drink and whether you want grand and busy or quiet and personal.
Booking tastings ahead is smart on weekends and in peak season, so tell us your picks and we can help line them up.
Lunch in the middle
A long lunch is the heart of the day. Several wineries have restaurants on site, and there are good options around Healesville and Yarra Glen too. We can drop you at the door, then be ready when you are, so there is no rush and no driving on a full glass.
Why a driver makes it better
The obvious reason is that nobody in the group has to stay sober or watch the clock. Beyond that, you skip the parking, the route planning and the worry about country roads. You step out at each stop and step back into a cool, clean car when you are ready.
It also keeps the group together. No splitting into two cars, no one getting lost on the way to the next door.
Group sizes and the V-Class
For a couple or a small group, a sedan is lovely. For a bigger group, the Mercedes V-Class is the easy choice. It seats up to seven in comfort, with room for coats, hats and a box of wine to take home.
Tell us your numbers and we will match the right vehicle. If you are a larger party, we can arrange more than one car so everyone travels together.
